Genre
Beach of the Dead is a 2.5D side-scrolling action game where players fight zombies on tropical beaches with only a hammer in hand.
Use left and right movement and six different attack buttons to unleash gritty, stylish combat.
Synopsis
Unable to travel during an unprecedented pandemic, travel blogger Shin Naka creates a game to continue his journey—this time, through a virtual world.
In the game, he becomes the main character and walks the beaches of Asia as himself.
But even here, something is wrong. The undead are waiting.
Selling Point (1)
It’s okay to be a zombie.
Even after you’re bitten, you can still reach the ending.
ZOMBIES DON’T RUN
THE DEAD DON’T DIE
DESTROY THE BRAIN
ONE BITE AND YOU BECOME A ZOMBIE
IT’S OKAY TO BE A ZOMBIE
Selling Point (2)
The soundtrack is composed by KIPPU, a genius of noise and speedcore.
His dark, chaotic, and oddly beautiful soundscape perfectly captures the game’s twisted world.
KIPPU
KIPPU Profile
Robin Girardet, aka Kippu, began composing music on the Amiga 500 with ProTracker in 1993.
He was active in the Amiga demo scene and a member of various groups, including Da Jormas.

Still active today, he performs live across Europe (Paris, Milan, Berlin…) and Asia (Japan, Malaysia).
Encouraged by his friend Tiger on Beat, he contributed tracks to the game Beach of the Dead.
Selling Point (3)
Based on a real travel blog, the game’s stages are inspired by Shin Naka’s own journeys through Asia.
The main character visits 8 beaches: Tokyo (Japan), Busan (Korea), Hong Kong (China), Phuket (Thailand), Samui (Thailand), Phangan (Thailand), Krabi (Thailand), and Goa (India).
